My wonderful friend A has taken up knitting little crochet creatures, and asked if I’d like one — and she made me this adorable little Katara! I love how she made the ‘water’ for her to hold.
Doctor Who Halloween! I ended up going as Amy for Halloween this year, and my friend’s really fun costume party had quite a few little Doctor Who-related things…we watched Blink (which was quite scary to those who hadn’t seen it yet), and a TARDIS pumpkin appeared that was bigger on the inside, as did a few Who-related cupcakes. (The TARDIS-sized Dalek was pretty funny.)

Top Five Fictional Characters | 03. The Doctor
Oh Doctor. So I guess I mean The Doctor in general because I believe there are traits that are just who he is but Eleven is MY Doctor. There are many reasons why someone would like a wacky 900 year old time traveling alien but I don’t think that is why I love him.
His sense of adventure is a huge part of it. I have said before how he obvious giddiness when they start a new adventure is just wonderful. We all know the Doctor hates himself for mistakes he made but even so he tries so hard to make the universe a better place even if it’s one being at a time.
This bit is more about Eleven, I love that this Doctor is vulnerable and that he gets angry but he isn’t hurtful. Nine and Ten were always making snotty remarks about people he wasn’t fond of but not Eleven. Even when he does get mad he APOLOGIZES. Something that was far too rare in past seasons. There was an excellent comment on livejournal awhile back that I have always referred back to. This comment explains in a far more eloquent way, why I love The Doctor and more specifically, Eleven.
His Doctor is the first introduction to the show for me, and he’s been captivating from the start.
Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them.
